Job Description
General Information LOCATION: 1022 26th Ave EHOURS: Monday - Friday / 7:00am to 3:30pm
Inspects horizontal infrastructure construction projects such as roadway grading, water mains, and sanitary sewers, to ensure full adherence to plans, specifications, standards, and regulations. Examines plans, blueprints, diagrams, surveys, and similar documentation. Regularly interacts with property owners, contractors, and the general public, always providing a high level of customer service.
Job Description
Minimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.
Infrastructure Inspections Officer: 2 or more years of technical experience in utility or road construction, construction surveying, or inspections.
Mobile Video Training (MVT) Confined Space Entry and Non-Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Certification required or must be obtained within six months of hire.
Senior Infrastructure Inspections Officer: 6 or more years of technical and trades experience in the inspection of infrastructure construction.
Mobile Video Training (MVT) Confined Space Entry and Non-Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Certification required.
Both positions require a valid driver license with valid Florida driver required license within 30 days of hire.
A comparable combination of education, training, and work experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.
