Infection Preventionist

Arroyo Vista Nursing Center is looking for a caring and compassionate Infection Prevention Nurse (IPN) to join our team! This individual will be planning, organizing, developing, coordinating, and directing our infection control program and its activities in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern such programs, and as may be directed by the Administrator and the Infection Control Committee to ensure that an effective infection control program is maintained at all times.

What we’re looking for:

• Someone excited to provide exemplary care to our residents!
• You will be responsible for the entire infection prevention/precaution program to include developing plans of care for patients being treated for all types of infections and to ensure that person understands antibiotic stewardship.
• This individual will assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of a written plan of care (preliminary and comprehensive) for each resident in isolation or on infection control precautions.
• You will also identify the problems/needs of the resident, indicates the care to be given, goals to be accomplished, and which professional service is responsible for each element of care.

Education/Requirements:

• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN in California.
• APIL Certification in infection control preferred, but not necessary upon hire - must obtain certification within 30 days of employment.
• Current CPR certification
• Must pass pre-employment back ground check and physical
