Job Description

As an Infection Prevention Control Officer (IPCO) at Pettigrew, you will be responsible for the administration of the center’s Infection Prevention and Infection Control Program. You will identify, investigate, and report infections and communicable diseases and educate staff on the control and prevention of those infections. You will enjoy a full-time standard work schedule of Monday – Friday on the first shift with no weekends or on-call. Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Epidemiology or Microbiology OR Practical Nursing Diploma OR Associate’s Degree or above in Nursing (ASN, BSN, etc.) required
  • Infection Prevention, Infection Control and/or MDS experience, or related experience in a patient care setting is a plus but not required.
  • Must be willing to complete and obtain the CDC’s IPCO Certification within the first week of employment.
