Individual, Child & Family Therapist - ACSW Or AMFT

A Balanced Life is seeking a professional, highly skilled, CA BBS Registered Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW) or Associate Marriage & Family Therapist (AMFT) to join our growing private practice in beautiful South Lake Tahoe. Working at A Balanced life allows one to live the mountain lifestyle with a flexible schedule, while providing a meaningful service to individuals, couples and families in our community.

A Balanced Life is looking for an experienced clinician to provide individual, child, couples, group, and family therapy. We work with many private pay clients, and also provide services through Child Protective Services, Victim's Witness, Child Abuse Prevention Counsel, Early Head Start and Telehealth through the Barton Community Clinic.

Duties include assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of behavioral health issues using evidence-based practices to achieve results through either brief therapy or long-term psychotherapy. A Balanced Life clinicians collaborate with providers and agencies as needed and required, execute therapy notes and documents in a timely fashion, and according to legal and ethical state and federal standards, and abide by company rules and policies. Bi-weekly case consultation meetings with the entire ABL team are held at the office. Monthly meetings with our Clinical Director and Business Manager will be provided. Supervision hours with our Clinical Director and our Licensed therapists will be provided. As an Associate, you must live within a commute distance to our office. It is expected for you to continue educating yourself to be the best therapist possible, both on your own and with the feedback and direction given. This is a private practice so it does take some time to build a clientele; self-promotion and networking through online channels and attending community meetings will support the fastest growth and help you get acquainted with our community. Our clinicians work a maximum of 40 hours a week, and a minimum of 2 days with evening hours (until 7 or 8pm).

Minimum requirement: CA BBS License for ACSW or AMFT. Please do not apply if you do not have an active License number with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
