Position Responsibilities:

  • Reviews all forms in the new employee packet for accuracy and completeness (i.e. W4 I9 background health office clearance etc). Notifies the appropriate person for discrepancies / follow up (i.e. recruiter Manager of HR Operations Compensation Analyst)
  • Enters new employee information into Lawson in accordance with procedural guidelines.
  • Pays close attention to detail when entering new hires reducing the likelihood of errors and inaccuracies with work.
  • Compiles a listing of items missing from the new hire paperwork (i.e. social security card license clearance forms etc) and distributes to the recruitment team.
  • Follows up with recruitment team to collect missing documents prior to creating the employee file. Once the employee file is complete it is delivered to the File Room Clerk for filing.
  • Provides payroll with all components of the new hire paperwork as needed. i.e. w4's
  • Maintains all incoming evaluations and prepare for entering in Lawson system.
  • Computes and enters all evaluations in a retro status.
  • Communicates with VP's, Directors, Managers Supervisors on all evaluation issues.
  • Maintains and updates the late evaluation report.
  • Provides Payroll Dept with all necessary evaluation copies needed to be process in a timely manner.
  • Report to Manager of HR Operations any problems with evaluations in a timely manner.
  • Maintains/enters change of address name changes & W-4 forms for Mount Sinai Campus/MHI Campus
  • Enters all licenses certifications etc for completion of the evaluation process.
  • Works closely with Manager of HR Operations with issues and concerns regarding transactions.
  • Assist employees with various HR processing needs including but not limited to; direct deposit enrollments name changes address changes etc.
  • Qualifications:
  • H.S. Graduate or equivalent required.
  • Proficiency in Lawson or related systems required.
  • A minimum of 1 year of prior HR experience required.
  • Excellent customer service skills required.
  • MS Office experience required. Hospital experience preferred.
