Reporting to the HES Head, the HES Director (General Medicine) is accountable for executing on the HES Book of work strategically aligned with the ASL and the HEOR Asset team for a portfolio of assets across LCM. The HES Book of work includes generating HTA insights for Clinical Development, leading Early HTA Engagement process, developing GVD including SLRs, Evidence Synthesis Feasibility Assessments (ESFA) and HTA Strategy one pager and supporting ASL to deliver on other Global Core Materials (eTPP, Value Story, Objection Handler). HES Director is responsible to ensure Top 10 country HTA readiness and external engagement for HTA strategy validation. In addition, HES lead works with US VAP Lead to deliver on US specific book of work (ICER, AMCP, Value Tools). HES Director's role is both execution of deliverables and managerial, overseeing HES SMs and Managers (Health economists)

Responsibilities

This role is global with tactical execution and managerial responsibilities. The HES Director uses an understanding of regulatory and reimbursement perspectives and requirements to provide effective hands on support to the ASL, Top 10 countries and HEOR Asset Teams. HES Director is responsible to ensure the book of work is strategically aligned with the ASL via the GAT and co-created with Top 10 markets.

HES Book of work: Responsible for generating and embedding HTA insights for early pipeline in service of the DASK ASL, leading Early THA Engagement process, development of Literature Reviews and ESFA, preparation of GVD modules 2-4, contributing to key ASL deliverables (eTPP, Value Story, Module 1, Objection Handler, HTA Strategy One Pager) and ensure country relevance and HTA technical and strategic requirements are met through country co-creation. HES Director will oversea Value Writing work to ensure timely involvement and deliverable of Global Core Materials as per ASLs specification. The Director will also engage with vendors as and when needed and with external experts (Ad board, 1:1 interviews) to validate HEOR strategy for HTA purposes in alignment with ASL.

The HES Director's main responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining strong working relationships with Lead Markets

  • Leadership and oversight of the HES Team reporting to the Director (SMs and Managers)

  • Facilitation of alignment on critical aspects of HTA technical requirements across LCM

  • Oversight of Global Core Materials (GVD) working with Value Writers

  • Ensure compliance with HTA dossier and RTQ Governance

  • Translate operational objectives into concrete execution via HES Asset Project Plan

DAI Framework:

  • D: Drives the development of HES book of work

  • A: HTA technical and strategic needs to ASL, GAT and HEOR Asset Team

  • I: Informed of MOD, POR and IAS plans

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 4 years of access and payer experience

Or

Master's degree and 8 years of access and payer experience

Or

Bachelor's degree and 10 years of access and payer experience

And

4+ years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources

Preferred Qualifications
  • Expertise in interpreting payer outcomes research studies, including patient reported outcomes, clinical outcomes, indirect treatment comparisons and meta-analyses, real-world evidence and predictive analytics

  • Expertise in leading GVD development and co-creation with countries

  • Expertise in HTA submissions and Early HTA engagement

  • Expertise in interpreting economic modeling

  • Expertise in Evidence Synthesis feasibility assessments

  • Experience in the United States

  • Expertise writing research protocols and executing Systematic Literature Reviews

  • Strong technical understanding of HTA requirements

  • Experience in influencing Integrated Access Strategy with a HEOR lens

  • Ability to lead a team to deliver results

  • Health Economics training (on the job or academic)

  • Experience in external engagement of health economists and Payers
