Summary

The HR Generalist works as a full-time employee of Zeiders Enterprises, Inc. (Zeiders) at the corporate office in Woodbridge, VA. This position provides general human resources support in the full employment lifecycle. Areas of focus include recruiting, employee onboarding, policy clarification, employee relations, working in our HRIS system and overall HR support to staff across the country and working remotely.

The majority of the functions performed will be to support the company with the daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly HR activities. In addition, this person will serve as the front line human resources generalist to employees and managers with general human resources support needs. This role works under direct supervision of the HR Generalist Supervisor and routinely interfaces with contract management team leaders in the conduct of their duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Human Resources Conduit between Managers and Employees and Company-wide needs
  • Supports the company- wide initiatives by reinforcing communication efforts to their specific contract.
  • Proficient within our HRIS and advises managers on information within the system
  • Human Resources expertise to provide full lifecycle employee experience including recruiting, new hire onboarding, protected leave management, employee relations, recognition program management, exit interviews, etc.
  • Seek additional HR subject matter experts, such as for employee relations, benefit administration or payroll, when situations warrant.
  • Keep all proprietary and confidential data entries in line with the company integrity policies.
  • Develop and maintain effective business partner relationships with internal contract management teams.
  • Run weekly, monthly and as needed reports to support contract management needs.

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in HR or related field coupled with 5 years human resources or administrative experience; OR 10+ years’ experience in human resources.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word; Excel; PowerPoint, Outlook and SharePoint);
  • Proficiency in Human Resources Information System (HRIS) to enter, query information and run reports.

  • PHR certification
  • UltiPro Experience
  • Experience with UltiPro HRIS software
  • Experience working with a remote workforce
  • Military lifestyle experience

Physical Demands: Works in office areas. Sits, stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during working hours. Uses personal computer, telephones, copiers, printers and other office equipment. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
