Schedule: Full Time, 7am-3:30pm, Every 3rd Weekend Rotation

Responsibilities Under general supervision, the Housekeeping Aide performs housekeeping duties to maintain the hospital in an orderly, safe and sanitary condition. The Housekeeping Aide duties include cleaning and sanitizing patient rooms, offices, restrooms and public areas. The essential functions for the Housekeeping Aide are:

Essential Functions:
  • Performs cleaning and sanitizing of patient rooms and offices, which may include vacuuming, high and low dusting, bed stripping/making and removal of general and hazardous waste. Performs cleaning of restrooms following proper infection control procedures.
  • Adheres to all established systems and training programs to provide a safe working environment.
  • Complies with all OSHA regulations and other local, state and federal government regulations.
  • Follows cleaning procedures in a safe manner.
  • Completes all assignments as scheduled and ability to work well under time restraints.
  • Recognizes and adopts activities appropriate to the specific needs of the patient/office population and demonstrates knowledge of specific issues.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts.
  • Ensures that customers and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere that recognizes the individuals' needs and rights.

Schedule:
7am-3:30pm, every 3rd weekend rotation
Qualifications EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma/GED preferred.
  • Over 6 months to 1 year of general housekeeping experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of infection control and universal precautions preferred.
SKILLS AND ABILTIES:
  • Strong verbal communication and listening skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to self-direct and remain on task.
