Job Description

Holiday Inn Express & Suites, Limerick PA is looking to hire housekeeping attendants and/ hotel houseperson. Experience preferred but not a must. Must be able to perform activities pertaining to dusting, sweeping, vacuuming in timely manner. Must be punctual and should be available to work on holidays. Must adhere to IHG standards. HOUSEKEEPER RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Perform cleaning duties such as sweeping and mopping floors in guest rooms, offices, hallways and reception areas
  • Dust and polish furniture in rooms and lobbies and ensure that all fixtures such as lights and chandeliers are cleaned properly
  • Vacuum carpets and rugs in rooms and other hotel areas and occasionally shampoo them according to provided instructions
  • Wash and sanitize bathrooms and replenish supplies such as soap, shampoo, toilet paper and towels
  • Mix cleaning agents in appropriate portions and ensure that they are safely used and stored according to safety policies and procedures of the hotel
  • Empty ashtrays and waste bins and ensure that all waste material is properly and safely disposed of * * Check stock levels of cleaning and sanitizing supplies and equipment and create and maintain effective liaison with suppliers for prompt delivery of both * * Create and maintain detailed inventory of cleaning supplies according to specified rules and regulations * * Ascertain that laundry services are properly coordinated for all guests to minimize complaints and dissatisfaction * * Accept complaints and suggestions in a graceful manner and ensure that they are addressed according to protocol

HOUSEPERSON RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Assist in cleaning the lobby, entrance and public areas inside and outside of the hotel.
  • Assist with balancing pool chemicals and maintaining/cleaning the indoor pool area.
  • Complete work order requests produced by housekeeping for public areas.
  • Perform deep cleaning projects as requested by management.
  • The daily removal of trash from the room attendant carts as well as public areas.
  • Assist with laundry as needed after the completion of daily responsibilities.
  • Assist the Executive Housekeeper as needed.
  • Communicate with management/front desk on service/maintenance related issues.
  • Able to stand & walk for extended periods (must be able to lift and carry up to 30lbs) and have the mobility to bend, squat, push, pull, kneel, and stretch as needed during tasks.
  • Perform duties independently, yet as part of the larger team effort with a “can do” attitude.
  • Maintain, stock and clean public restrooms.
  • Perform light maintenance as needed in guest rooms and public areas.
  • Maintain and organize housekeeping closets, rotate stock and run inventory to room attendants as needed.
  • Maintain good personal appearance at all times and wear the approved uniform.
  • Ensure a "guest first" attitude and provide friendly guest contact experience.
  • Additional duties from management may be assigned as necessary.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $9.00 - $12.00 per hour
