  • This is a temporary Customer Service Assistant position, various shifts/days with no guarantee of hours

Essential Duties:
Performs various administrative, housekeeping, runner, and other functions related to the Emergency Management needs of the Hospital. Screens visitors and telephone calls, referring as necessary to the appropriate department. Commuicates and interacts with staff, physicians, volunteers, patients, and visitors in a friendly and professional manner. Assists with cleaning services throughout hospital building areas

Works independently under general instructions on a wide variety of projects/tasks, completing assignments with accuracy and within deadlines
Ability to assess and refer customer issues to appropriate resource
Maintains strict adherence with HIPAA guidelines

QualificationsGood customer service and communication skills. Ability to adapt quickly to change in a positive manner. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and non-verbally. Able to work in an organized and efficient manner. Able to use computer and Microsoft Office Ability to exercise initiative while remaining within job description boundaries. Attention to detail, accuracy and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Must demonstrate effective interpersonal skills; oral and written communication skills in the English Language

One year of customer service experience preferred
High school graduate or equivalent
Fast-paced environment subject to many interruptions
Subject to irregular hours
Subject to standing or sitting for long periods of time
