ATCO Structures USA is growing, and our team is seeking a Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Coordinator to be part of the team. This role is in our Diboll manufacturing plant where we construct modular buildings and modular space rentals. The HSE Coordinator works closely with our manufacturing plant employees to coach, correct and identify hazards in the work environment to promote a strong safety culture.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and encourage a safe culture within ATCO
  • Communicate the vision and the importance of environmental, health and safety practices and policies, and assume an active and visible leadership role within this area
  • Coordinate and conduct all safety training program as well as assist the HSE Manager, ASL USA in strategic planning sessions and developing, formulating and promoting HSE targets and goals
  • Deliver the HSE orientation, including tool training and continuing education to all production staff and new employees starting at the Manufacturing plant
  • Conduct root cause incident investigations and monitor follow up activities to ensure timely completion
  • Ensure all HSE incidents and non-conformances to ensure they are thoroughly investigated, that root causes are identified, and remedial actions are successfully completed
  • Participate in root cause investigations as required
  • Coordinate and lead internal risk reviews for all major or high risk incidents
  • Identify, develop and implement incident prevention processes and strategies
  • Ensure management sign off on all HSE incident reports
  • Perform manufacturing plant and work site inspections, identify corrective and preventative measures and follow up as needed
  • Identify, develop and implement incident prevention processes and strategies
  • Work to ensure all administrative processes and procedures are documented, maintained and follow best industry practices
  • Evaluate workplace procedures to revise current physical demand and job safety analysis

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years’ experience within a Health & Safety capacity is preferred
  • Experience organizing and delivering safety related training and managing training attendance records
  • Post-secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety, or equivalent certifications in HSE are considered an asset
