SummaryThe Health Care Partner performs quality care within scope of responsibility, functions in multi-skilled role and meets required clinical competencies, responsive to customer needs through documentation, communication and coordination with members of the healthcare team, documents per department guidelines of care. Nationally ranked in the top 10th percentile for patient satisfaction in maternal/infant health services by Press Ganey, The Women's Health Center at Sharp Grossmont Hospital offers comprehensive services for women of all stages of life. We are dedicated to providing a healing, family-centered environment for women and newborn infants. Our OB/GYN unit offers a homelike setting with 24 private suites providing care to mother-baby couplets, postsurgical gynecological and antepartum patients. A diverse multidisciplinary team, comprised of nurses, certified lactation consultants, social workers, healthcare partners, unit clerks, hearing screeners, childbirth educators and chaplains are available to deliver individualized family-centered care. Our comprehensive patient education program prepares families to be sent home with the knowledge and confidence needed to care for their new family member. Our orientation and preceptorship programs are individualized to meet our new employees' needs. Sharp Grossmont Hospital is the largest not-for-profit, full-service acute care hospital in the region with 542 beds. The hospital has outstanding programs in heart care, orthopedics, rehabilitation, robotic surgery, mental health, stroke care and women’s health. In addition, the hospital’s Emergency and Critical Care Center is one of the most technologically advanced emergency and intensive care facilities in the nation. Sharp Grossmont Hospital is nationally recognized as a MAGNET®-designated hospital for patient care and nursing practices. Required Skills Qualifications
- One year of Acute Care (Acute Hospital) Nursing Assistant experience required
- Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers
- Great attitude, excellent customer service and communication skills
- High school graduate or equivalent
- One year Unit Secretary experience
- Newborn Hearing Screening Tech experience
- Certified Nursing Assistant Certificate
- Acute Care Post-Partum Unit experience
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
