As the Head of Thought Leader Engagement, Image Guided Therapy Devices, you will have the following responsibilities:

Strategy and Planning

  • Design and Implement World Class Global KTL engagement strategy
  • Lead global IGTD KOL efforts to support business needs
  • Weave together value propositions of IGTD and the needs of IGTS (IGT Systems)
  • Advocate for the Philips brand with physician, administrative and policy making customers and stakeholders to build credibility and engagement
  • Orchestrate Philips business need with the appropriate KOL/MAB members (~90)
  • Partner with business leaders to engage key thought leaders in business strategy
  • Select proper KOLs based on desired outcome
  • Represent all Philips groups to the KOL to present unified front
  • Manage the KOL to Philips engagements so as to not overwhelm the KOL with too many Philips touches and activities

Medical/Clinical Expertise

  • Serve as clinical/medical expert and provide insights and thought leadership across IGT-Device businesses with a focus on the Peripheral Vascular and Heart Rhythm Management businesses
  • Accompany business leaders to strategic customer meetings for clinical/medical insights
  • Serve as strategic resource and thought partner to clinical and commercial teams
  • Provide clinical and medical insights, expertise and direct support during the business development process
  • Provide high level clinical support to product development teams, including viability of products, insights on clinical relevance and safety, as well as Advisory Board leadership to secure necessary voice of customer

Key Opinion Leader Engagement

  • Lead and manage the IGTD PV and HRM advisory boards
  • Partner with the IGT KOL leaders for NA and International as well as the IGTD Coronary KOL leader.
  • Partner closely with key stakeholders including the leaders of the major markets, the PV, Solutions and HRM businesses, R&D, Clinical and Education.
  • Provide Advisory Board thought leadership for clinical selection, objectives, agenda, execution
  • Recruit, vet, and engage key thought leaders to support clinical and business activities
  • Act as specialty society liaison, supporting meeting goals and driving market access through guidelines
  • Bridge the conversation between Societal/Trade Show requests with the affiliated KOL

KTL Segmentation

  • Design and lead KTL stratification into the following buckets
  • Clinical (studies, podium presentations, publications); Societies, R&D (product advisory boards), Education (Fellows, Medical Education, Sales Training), MAB (physicians, administrators), Policy and Advocacy, Investor Relations

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in marketing, business, biological/clinical science, or engineering,
  • 9+ years in the area of Peripheral Vascular, Heart Rhythm Management and Solutions preferably
  • Global experience – a plus
  • Ability to influence others; excellent interpersonal skills to be effective in a matrix organization and with customers
  • Excellent organizational and managerial skills
  • Strong team player and mature personality that works effectively on cross-functional teams, with medical and non-medical professionals at all levels and in an international environment
  • Understanding of the peripheral vascular and heart rhythm management space and established KOL relationships in these areas
  • Willingness to Recommend score improvement
  • Strong regular engagement with KOLs
  • Successful R&D projects and inorganic decisions based on engaging the correct physicians
  • Successful podium and publication execution
