Background & Overview

The speed of adoption of Electric Vehicles (EVs) is critical to achieve deep decarbonization of the transport sector. The average gasoline vehicle on the road today has a fuel economy of about 22.0 miles per gallon and drives around 11,500 miles per year. Every gallon of gasoline burned creates about 8,887 grams of CO2. Added up passengers vehicles emit 10% - 15% of total greenhouse gas emissions.

The auto finance industry has a massive entrenched ecosystem of loans and leases. Worldwide auto revenues were around $3 Trillion in 2017. EVs are now at a tipping point where the capital cost and total cost of ownership can be lower than gas or diesel powered vehicles. Serial SaaS and Mobility entrepreneur Sunil Paul and accomplished Wall Street executive Cassandra John partnered to found Spring Free EV and launch the Mileage Purchase Agreement (MPA). MPAs are inspired by the success of solar power purchase agreements (PPAs), leases, and loans. Just as solar exploded in growth when these financial innovations coupled with the declines in the cost of hardware and government incentives we see an opportunity to accelerate the adoption and affordability of EVs.

Spring Free EV will officially launch in Q4. We are off to a great start on our goal to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 1 Gigaton by 2030 with over $5M committed to deploy EVs from some of Silicon Valley’s top investors and revenue from influential proof of concept customers.

Position Overview

We plan for this role as a part-time contractor, however, for the right person, it may grow to be full time employment.

Spring Free EV seeks a self-guided consultant to help us build our strategy for scaling our accredited investor individual investors through Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs) and multi-family offices. The successful candidate should be comfortable presenting financial opportunities in terms that RIAs and their clients understand and respect.

Specific tasks include:

  • Develop a go to market strategy for recruiting RIAs and multi-family offices

  • Work closely with the CEO and CFO to develop pitch deck, financials, and other materials for RIAs and Financial Advisors.

  • Develop candidate lists of RIAs, Financial Advisors, and multi-family offices

  • Present the Spring Free EV debt and project financing opportunities to candidate companies

  • Develop metrics for measuring the success of sell-through of candidate companies

  • Determine compensation plans for sell through by candidate companies.


Required experience:

  • 5+ years of experience working for RIAs, Financial Advisors, or multi-family offices

  • 2+ years of experience selling to or through these organizations

Desirable experience:

  • Experience working with or selling ESG investment products

  • Experience working with startups and fast growing companies

Location:

The company is virtual and a Delaware corporation. This role will need to be authorized to work in the United States and willing to travel when needed to work safely face to face with clients, partners, and fellow team members.
