Haunted House Makeup Artist

PURPOSE OF POSITION

? Complete make-up for Haunted House actors, while maintaining the highest standards of safety.

? Use different make-up techniques to ensure the appropriate make-up for each character within the allotted time frame.

SKILLS, REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFACTIONS

? Must be 18+ years of age.

? Strong guest service skills.

? Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with guests, co-workers and management.

? Ability to work all operating nights of Fright Fest.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

? Guest Service: Provide friendly and helpful service to guests. Abide by all guest service standards and code of conduct guidelines established in the Team
Member handbook.

? Safety: Wild Waves Theme & Water Park is a Safety First workplace; the promotion of a safe working environment and elimination of safety hazards is a key function of all positions.

? Team Work: Employees must to work together towards the common goals of the Park while maintaining a respectful and efficient work environment.

? Cleanliness: Keep the work location and the Park clean and sanitary for Guests, as well as fellow employees. Cleaning duties may require standing, stooping, and bending to pick up trash and debris and the use of cleaning tools and chemicals.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following duties and responsibilities are required to be performed by the person filling this position. To perform the job successfully, the person must possess the abilities and aptitudes to perform each duty and responsibility proficiently.

? Maintain Make-Up Area: Prep the make-up area prior to actor arrival. Ensure the make-up process is within the allotted timeframe prior to opening.
Clean area and ensure proper inventory levels each night.

? Make-Up Application: Complete character make-up using different techniques including airbrush, crème make-up, liquid latex, moulage, foam prosthetics and applications and other techniques. Work to develop characters’ look within the specific House and room guidelines.

? Team Work: Work collectively as part of the make-up team to ensure each character is ready prior to opening each night.

? Guest Service: Focus on the guest and actor experience. Assist actors with questions regarding make-up and costuming.

? Cleanliness: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the Make-Up & Costuming area.

? Other Duties as Assigned: Additional duties may be assigned based on the needs of the department and the park.

? Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level is generally moderate to high.

Pay: $13.75 - $15.00 per hour
