Job Description
We are looking for a capable and experienced Handyman/Porter to join our team. The ideal candidate is a professional, reliable, well-spoken individual with maintenance skills.
Pay: $20/hr.

MAINTENANCE Responsibilities:
- Perform minor painting and plastering.
- Replace blown out light bulbs.
- Replace existing branch switches and plates.
- Make adjustments to doors and locks.
- Unclog minor blockages in sinks toilets.
- Inspect rooftops and roof drain.
- Inspect trash chute doors and compactor machine.
- Inspect all sump pumps in the basement area weekly and report to the manager immediately if they are not working.
- Run generator test and keep a weekly log.
- Run fire pump and keep a monthly log.
- Will maintain a professional relationship with vendors and help with coordinating work with the building manager.
- Will perform a weekly inspection of the building and communicate deficiencies with the building manager.
- Hand dust all common areas including windowsills, etc.
- Wipe and dust furniture.
- Spot clean glass in front doors.
- Spot clean walls near elevators.
- Dust, mop (with treated cloths or mops) the floors.
- Vacuum area rugs/runner.
- Empty waste receptacle.
- Squeegee clean all lobby glass interior and exterior.
- Spot vacuum.
- Thoroughly vacuum rugs/carpeting.
- Spot clean carpet spots, not exceeding approximately six inches in diameter.
- Dust baseboards and saddles.
- Dust all railings and wall trim.
- Thoroughly sweep and mop all stairwells.
- Sweep/mop floors in trash rooms.
- Clean/disinfect trash chute doors on the inside and outside.
- Dust baseboard.
- Remove trash/recyclables.
- Wipe down walls.
- Sweep and mop floors.
- Empty trash receptacles.
- Wipe down exercise equipment and TVs.
- Spot clean inside windows and mirrors.
- Thoroughly clean inside windows and mirrors.
- Wipe down all doors and trim molding.
- Police front, side of the building, including all entranceways; remove litter around trees and in planters.
- Remove litter from courtyards and or breezeways.
