The Work You Will Do:

The Government Operation Consultant position provides essential support for creating, modifying and terminating network and oracle accounts. This position will assign DWM roles and manage permissions. The position serves as technical lead on Oculus and Cherwell resolutions. In addition, provides data management, data processing, analysis and reporting. This position is a key support element for the centralized ERIC database. The Government Operation Consultant position is also responsible for compiling and reporting many division quarterly metrics, as well as responding to ad-hoc reporting requests and public records requests for data.

Pay:

Salary Range: $ 43,507.36 - $ 58,000.00 (Commensurate with experience)


Your Specific Responsibilities:

  • Creates, modifies and terminates network, oracle, and/or Exosphere Accounts for Department, Contractors and County Staff. Assigns roles for Waste Oracle Applications and manages permissions for FIRST, SWIFT, and OCULUS accounts. Prepares technical how-to information for DWM applications as needed.

  • Provides first level technical support for DWM applications FIRST and SWIFT. Coordinates with DEP FIRST/SWIFT contractor in providing user support in working with Tough-Pad field devices and application troubleshooting.

  • Manages maintenance tickets in support of DWM users in accordance with metrics for reporting performance.

  • Serves as technical lead for Waste Operations OCULUS email/ticket resolution. Acts as liaison between Divisional staff and the Office of Technology and Information Systems to provide customer support and troubleshooting for OCULUS tasks. Provide project management for OCULUS input; mentor Program administrative staff; assist DEP staff, contractors, county users and the public with OCULUS questions/issues.

  • Acts as technical lead and provides customer assistance for tickets pertaining to Waste Operations areas of responsibilities. Tasks include but are not limited to:
    • Coordinate creation, modification and termination of waste user accounts for DEP Network (Active Directory), Exosphere, Oracle (production and beta), Outlook, FIRST/SWIFT, etc.
    • Creation and modification of Shared_Info_DWM Distribution Lists and calendars in Outlook
    • Assignment roles for Waste Oracle applications (COMET, STCM, Fiesta, CHAZ/SQG….)
    • Coordination of office moves, relocation of telephones and computer equipment
    • Support for OCULUS requests for technical assistance which may include administrative functions, document corrections, etc.

  • Responsible for coordination of reporting performance measures for Waste Management Operations. Develops and maintains Queries for counts and trends in problem resolution to help ensure that the level of service is accurately documented. Prepares reports, including charts and graphs, to present analysis of staff performance.

  • Performs related work and special projects as needed.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of document systems.
  • Knowledge of data management.
  • Knowledge of property management principles.
  • Knowledge of Department FIRST/SWIFT applications.
  • Skill in SQL and/or PL/SQL.
  • Skill in personal computer hardware and software troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Ability to manage Microsoft Outlook and Active Directory accounts.
  • Ability to utilize problem solving techniques.
  • Ability to prioritize workload.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to deal with people in person and over the telephone in a courteous manner.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others and work with limited supervision.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree from a college or university and four years of professional experience in systems analysis, management analysis, program planning, program research, program evaluation, engineering or administrative work.
  • Professional or nonprofessional experience as described above can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.
  • The Incumbent of this position, in accordance with sections 110.1127 and 435.04, Florida Statues and DEP Directive 422, Background Investigations, is required to successfully complete a background and fingerprint check.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Oracle relational databases and SQL applications
  • Ability to communicate technical information
  • Ability to understand technology and its users in solving problems
  • Ability to write technical reports
