Job Description Summary: The Global Security Systems Administrator (GSSA) is focused on providing technical support, installation and maintenance of all physical security devices, systems and components that Analog Devices utilizes across the world. The GSSA publishes written physical security design standards, drafts Scope of Work, manages the installations of security systems, serves as a Physical Security Project Manager, creates budgets and timelines, serves on cross functional teams and is considered the Subject Matter Expert in all facets of Physical Security. This position is based in San Jose, CA and reports to the Sr. Director, Global Security. The position also has two direct reports which are systems technicians. One position is based at San Jose and the other is based in The Philippines.

This role provides technical support, installation and maintenance of all physical security systems, including but not limited to access controls, alarm systems, anti-burglary systems, data repositories, radio systems, technological tools, and video cameras for all global locations. Job Description: Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Writing detailed Physical Security design specifications and standards.
  • Interpreting Blue Prints for the purpose of applying company design standards.
  • Drafting Scopes of Work, Project Bidding Packages and Project Budgets.
  • Completing the final Test and Acceptance of security systems.
  • Prequalify Security Integrators.
  • Establish and implement effective, predictable and measurable procedures/processes.
  • Work with supervisors and internal customers to establish, provide and agree on, clear goals, objectives, and performance delivery outcomes and timelines.
  • Designs, develops, and implements solutions for system installations, upgrades, repairs and change outs.
  • Builds and deploys training programs for all users of the physical security systems.
  • Coordinates and ensure timely delivery of daily system support requirements with various support teams such as Global IT and Global Real Estate.
  • Researches, develops, designs and tests a variety of equipment, components, products and systems with the goal of fully optimizing and leverage our investments.
  • Directs the evaluation of state of the art security equipment standards, for both computer and physical systems. Provides expertise regarding their use, recommends equipment, and adapts technologies as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associate degree of Applied Sciences in Electrical and Electronic Automated Systems or other studies relevant to this position.
  • At least 5 years experience in managing the operation and installation of global physical security systems and software. Including experience in writing design specifications and standards, technical manuals and procedures, and developing and delivering training programs. Must have working knowledge and experience with WAN/LAN Network topology. Has had some exposure in the international support.
  • Receives little instruction on daily work, general instruction on newly introduced assignments.
  • Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations.
  • In-depth knowledge of physical security systems, security software and networked-based equipment. Has had some exposure in the international support.
  • Is able to effectively handle several concurrent activities without reducing productivity. Completes current work according to assigned priorities. Responds to changing demands and priorities; validates priorities with management. Responds to day-to-day operational priorities while still making progress on project work. Can discuss the impact of current assignments on the overall goals and priorities.
  • Can use standard software tools to design solutions to departmental challenges, including spreadsheet applications for monitoring and measuring, preparing professional reports and presentations, creating database or other application solutions. Effectively utilizes all recommended support tools as needed in current job. Proficient with advanced features, facilities and functions of available tools. Can identify and resolve common software and usage problems. Can describe which office products can interact and how to share data. Is familiar with considerations for document and data conversion when upgrading to new releases.
  • Communicates within all levels of Analog Devices employees. Strong interpersonal skills required. Demonstrated skills in making presentations. Excellent written and verbal skills required
  • Has extensive experience with all of the maintenance system advanced features. Plays a leading role in establishing best practices for the use of the security system. Understands network topology, troubleshooting, and what affect security systems have on the wide area and local area network.
