Job Description

The Global Account Manager is re sponsible for the direct sale of Flex’s services to targeted accounts, and provides management with information used to evaluate sales opportunities. The ideal candidate will be based in San Diego, CA , but may also be based in Austin, TX , Chicago, IL , or San Jose, CA .

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:

  • Identify and pursue target accoun ts and determine potential customer opportunities in assigned geographic sales territory or industry segment.
  • Develop business plan to identify prospective customers and/or key divisions to initially penetrate and grow business in target accounts.
  • Target a nd win business in the accounts assigned to maximize revenues and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Provide technical and administrative services information, demonstrations and quotes.
  • Work with Flex support teams to drive tactical plan.
  • Work with pre and po st-sales support teams to ensure the optimal customer solution is defined (presales) and delivered (post sales).
  • Regularly interact with executives of major prospective customers, involving customer negotiations or influencing and persuading other senior l evel managers .
  • Manage and support prospect tracking and sales forecasting.
  • Travel as required.

Here is some of what you’ll need (required):

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field
  • 5 years of Account Management or Business Development experience
  • Contract manufacturing and/or EMS experience
  • Medical market knowledge
  • Effective client-minded communication, including strong presentational skills
  • A proven track record as a problem solver and self-starter

  • Experience in contract negotiations
  • Must be accustomed to routine domestic and international travel
