Summary The Executive Producer is part of the larger Freeman team of producers, creatives, coordinators that partner with our internal and external partners in A/V, design and build, and logistics. Responsibilities include establishing program best practices and efficient workflow for our Internal (and external) cross-functional teams, partners and clients. The position is responsible for supporting the opportunity engagement process, from proposals and RFP’s through reconciliation, including creating and managing associated budgets on assigned programs. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Drive overall program operations, budget, and workflow.
  • Develop, manage, and grow senior level relationships with clients that position Freeman as a strategic advisor and partner.
  • Oversee producers, internal and external direct reports, and teams from beginning to end of the programs life cycle.
  • Deep industry connections in the US and internationally to source and manage resources across a variety of live event activations, including general session and breakouts, launch and press events, consumer activations, live performance and entertainment, special events, and galas.
  • Significant experience managing all aspects of live events, including AV for entertainment and live show production, creative and production management for graphics, event flow, digital activations and platforms, IT implementation, video production, content production and management. High level knowledge of event logistics, registration, food and beverage, venue sourcing, transportation, parties/evening events, etc.
  • Must have significant General Session Executive Producer experience- including: 7 years minimum experience executing top tier domestic and international General Sessions, recommending, and hiring lead positions (Technical Director, Lighting Designer, A1, Video Director, Stage Manager, etc.), and significant understanding of technical process and protocol for on-site General Session execution.
    • Within the General Session space, requires deep comprehension of content design, development and management including: media server comprehension, executive presentation design and management (Keynote, PPT, After Effects), and the ability to build a content production and design team including: the team org structure, developing R&Rs and recommending resources to fill both the design and producer positions on a given content team.
  • Oversee multimillion dollar client relationship(s) with responsibility for budget and profit management. Focus on team structure, staffing, client satisfaction, prioritization of deliverables while ensuring quality of work meets agency standards and client objectives.
  • Develop an engagement strategy and work with the team and workstream leads to execute, involving and engaging people where/as needed for project success and overall account utilization (goals, deliverables, schedule, budget, resources).
  • Manage program budget profitability by partnering with sales to create appropriate budget estimates and negotiate statements of work, making sure work is delivered on budget, and supplier purchase orders are issued according to the agreed upon terms. Ensure all internal and third party costs are accounted for and paid.
  • Participate in strategic development of new business.
  • Train and mentor junior staff on Freeman’s methodology and operational/production management methodology to provide opportunities for growth.
  • Advocate “social” engagement to further brand presence and reinforce personal expertise.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of the divisions strategic plan, ensuring operational leadership and adherence.
  • Travel to site visits, meetings and event show site to meet with teams.
  • Maximize efficiency and optimize workflow, production, and operations by using our internal resources and partner company resources.
  • Develop and implement programs across functional groups and multiple agencies including leading team meetings, keeping and tracking timelines and project logs, and performing general project management. Content development and management - i.e., event theme/messaging, speaker support, video, interactive, web/social media, mobile apps, live performance, demos, speaker management, digital activations, etc.

Education & Experience
  • B.S. from four-year accredited college or university preferred
  • 8 to 10 years’ experience in the agency and production industry space, specializing in creative & strategy, multi-dimensional design, program development, and execution for Fortune 500 clients
  • Minimum 5 years of general session experience required
  • Experience with various projects types, including live event, consumer marketing, web, mobile, video, brand, and strategic consulting
  • Manage programs and budgets in excess of $1-2 million+
  • The ability to translate creative concepts into a real life brand experience and to define solutions that will generate measurable results for the client
  • Strong presentation, verbal and written skills
