Unit Description:
Sodexo is looking for a General Manager 4 for NYU Hospital for Joint Disease New York, NY!!
NYC prestigious medical center. This positions will ensure that the highest of standards and expectations are maintained at all NYULMC locations. Strong knowledge of regulatory, direct over-site of the Sanitation employees, ensuring all areas of the Department are complying with Sodexo and NYU policies and procedures. Experience with 1199 employees and labor management. Direct client contact. Oversees expenditures to control unit financial. Directs daily food service operations in order to provide quality products. Ensures all operational and regulatory standards are being followed. Responsible for managing the 80 client employees along with the management team in a union environment.

  • Working knowledge of Sodexo Food Management Systems (FMS) and Market Connections (MSC), and is proficient in computer skills and report management experience.
The successful candidate will have at least 3 years lead food management experience in a health-care environment(LTC), a solid financial acumen, the ability to develop and engage both a management and hourly staff, a strong working knowledge of food operations in a health-care setting as well as excellent communication, leadership and customer service skills. Prior experience managing a union workforce would be a plus.
