      Act as a first responder and assist with de-escalation when students are in crisis; provide redirection using school-wide PBIS MatrixMonitor building climate and culture throughout the dayBehavior Support for students removed from class earning major referralsProcess students to gain a successful reentry into the classroomCoach students in positive behavior choices, develop strategies, and monitor successDocument office referrals in Infinite Campus and in building-wide data collection systemsAssist SAM in parent communications and follow up for student behaviorsWork with students and staff to monitor behavior plans and interventionsPerform student supervisory duties including before and/or after school, cafeteria and indoor/outdoor recessDemonstrate ability to take initiative and follow throughMeet regularly with counselor, SAM, and principalWork collaboratively with staff supporting students in classrooms as neededAssist with daily activities and routines of studentsUse positive reinforcement techniques to assist in managing behavior throughout the school routine including transition times and recessEngage in on-going staff developmentModel flexibility in duties as the needs of students changeModel enthusiasm and patienceOther duties as assigned by building administratorSuccessful candidate must possess strong interpersonal skills with a proven record of building rapport with culturally diverse students to ensure each child reaches his/her full potential.Good attendance and punctuality are a must to ensure that the duties and responsibilities of the job are performed successfully.Skilled, understands and utilizes MTSS or willingness to be trained/knowledgeableSkilled, understands and utilizes PBIS or willingness to be trained/knowledgeableCPI certified or willingness to gain CPI certification
