Position's Purpose
The primary purpose of this position is to provide boutique, custom, and professional level garden services to our discerning residential clientele, working with a team, under the direct supervision of the Plant Health Care Manager. Responsible for meeting garden maintenance and improvement objectives.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Properly use, maintain and care for equipment, tools and vehicles.
  • Proficiently and safely use or work in close proximity with tools and equipment used to perform garden maintenance tasks.
  • Perform various garden maintenance services and planting installations, independently or with team members.
  • Keep accurate timesheet records.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Is punctual, dependable, and able to work effectively with individuals of differing backgrounds, knowledge and skill levels.
  • Is a proactive, organized and reliable team player with a positive attitude.
  • Ability and willingness to work longer “peak-season” days and to make up missed work due to inclement weather as needed.
  • Proficient plant ID of common annuals, perennials, shrubs, trees and weeds.
  • Ability to communicate in English language (Bilingual a plus)

Education and Experience

  • 2+ years relevant gardening and horticulture experience.
  • Valid Driver’s License with driving record acceptable to company’s auto insurance carrier.
  • Legally Authorized to Work in the United States (the company participates in E-Verify).

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work up to 10 hours in a day in inclement weather with a daytime high temperature of 100 degrees fahrenheit or a low temperature of 20 degrees fahrenheit.
  • Ability to safely use basic tools including, but not limited to: backpack blowers, hedge trimmers, chainsaws, mowers, edgers, aerators and backpack sprayers.
  • Ability to lift, walk and/or carry loads up to 50 lbs on uneven terrain.
  • Have a full range of motion in the upper and lower body as well as be able to safely bend, stoop, lift, pull, push, squat and stand for long periods of time.
