Garden Center Cashier

As a Cashier, you are in the hub of the store! You'll assist customers and coworkers with phones, resources and sales. You're responsible for the overall appearance and status of the store to ensure it's clean, organized and represents the company's standards. This is a great fit for someone who has an interest and passion for plants, an aptitude to learn in a fast-paced, service environment and enjoys consistently interacting with customers. This is a seasonal, part-time position.

What You'll Do

*Use Point of Sale system to process transactions *Merchandise and care for interior plants *Answer and route phones in a professional manner *Clean, dust and organize register and interior of store *Assist in any other areas of the store as needed

We are looking for someone that:

*Has 6+ months of customer service in retail or service industry *Demonstrates attention to detail and follows through on commitments *Communicates clearly and concisely *Takes pride in store appearance *Be able to work in a fast-paced environment, staying calm under pressure *Able to lift up to 50 pounds *Able to walk, bend, stoop and stand *The retail store is a mix of indoor and outdoor space; the majority of time will be spent inside. *Must pass pre-employment drug screen

Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $15.00 - $16.00/hour.
