Job Description

BUSINESS IMPACT STATEMENT Supports HR productivity through administering Associate onboarding activities, HR processes and compliance programs

ACCOUNTABILITIES

SUPPORTS NEW ASSOCIATE ONBOARDING AND RECRUITING ACTIVITIES

  • Prepare recruiting materials for onsite job fairs
  • Schedule interviews and orientations
  • Facilitates new hire orientation and benefits orientation sessions
  • Processes new hire documentation and onsite drug tests

SUPPORTS COMMUNICATION AND ASSOCIATE ENGAGEMENT ACTIVITIES

  • Schedules and may administer Kohl’s Volunteer Program community service program
  • Initial intake for Associate questions and/or redirects to AskHR
  • Supports HR initiatives (Benefit Open Enrollment, Wellness Programs, etc)
  • Participation in building committees (Activities, Safety, Wellness, etc)
  • Accurate recording of HR activity in ServiceNow

ADMINISTERS HR PROCESSES FOR EXECUTIVES AND ASSOCIATES

  • Supports non-exempt performance review process
  • Monitors execution of Associate performance review processes
  • Process Associate pay progression/wage increases
  • Enter payroll/schedule data and process payroll exceptions
  • Ensure accurate data is entered into timekeeping and scheduling systems
  • Administer job posting process
  • Process termination and final pay to meet state requirements
  • Utilizes resources to educate supervisors on policies and procedures

EXECUTES COMPLIANCE PROGRAMS AND ENSURES ACCURATE DOCUMENTATION

  • Tracks Safety, Ethics and other compliance training completion
  • Set up, maintain and audit personnel files and other relevant HR records
  • Accurate filing of personnel documents
  • Tracks new hire touchbases and behavior, attendance and performance counseling
  • Updates Workday with all status changes
  • Assists with leave of absence/ADA/WC process and record keeping

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to multi-task using multiple applications and technologies
  • Working knowledge of MS Office
  • Proficiency in computer navigation skills
  • Basic reading and math skills

PREFERRED

  • Previous experience in Human Resources
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Bilingual
