Full Time Floater Position Available

Giraffe Laugh Early Learning Centers has an opening for a Full Time Assistant Childcare Provider.

Giraffe Laugh ensures school readiness, empowers families and builds strong futures. Giraffe Laugh provides scholarships to low income families and all families are accepted regardless of their ability to pay for care.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES: To be responsible for all aspects of caring for young children. Duties include first and foremost being aware of all safety and health issues related to caring for young children. Hours of operation are 7:30-5:30 Monday through Friday. Hours for closers usually begin anywhere from noon until closing at 5:30 or no later than 3pm until 5:30.

MUST HAVE: Minimum of High School Diploma or GED. Boise City Licensing background check to include: no convictions for child neglect, child abuse or physical harm to another person and a current childcare license. Must be Idaho STARS certified within 3 months from date of hire. Current Pediatric first aid/CPR and Infant/Child CPR. Strong communication skills through written, verbal and through digital means

PREFERRED: Experience with persons living in poverty and an empathy for that population. Experience with Giraffe Laugh ELC and the values and mission of the agency. Experience with STEPS to Quality program.

COVID-19 considerations:
To keep employees safe, they must wear masks during work hours, children 3-5 also wear masks. Smocks are provided to ensure clothing can be changed frequently. No shoes inside, so teacher provides slippers. Temps are taken daily, and no parents inside.
