Job Description

If so, look no farther. Here at the Springhill Suites we seek to provide the highest quality of service to our guests at all times. We work as a team and we cross train in all departments so that you are knowledgeable about each department and you can always assist the team, regardless of the task. We are currently looking for someone to work the over night shift. This is a position that requires a strong personality who can work under pressure without any assistance.

The Front Desk Associate is responsible for:

  • Provide the highest quality of service to the customer at all times.
  • Provide exceptional service to all guests during check-in/check-out and during their stay to ensure that their experience exceeds our guest's expectations.
  • Manages and Resolves all guest complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain guest privacy.
  • Maintains an inventory of vacancies, reservations and room assignments.
  • Communicates with Housekeeping on a regular basis to notify housekeeping of all check-outs, late check-outs, early check-ins, special requests, and part-day rooms.
  • Uses persuasive selling techniques to sell rooms and to promote other services of the hotel.
  • Knows daily activities and meetings taking place in the hotel.
  • Communicates clearly on the telephone.
  • Reports any unusual occurrences or requests to the GM and AGM
  • Keep lobby and desk area clean and presentable and interact with guests in lobby
  • Have a thorough knowledge of emergency and security procedures.
  • Know how to clean guest rooms and hotel lobby to meet Marriott's standards.
  • Clean back office area as requested by management.
  • Open and close shift, make cash drops.
  • Ensure all credit cards, cash and change funds are balanced throughout each shift.
  • Inform management of any guests or systems related complaints or problems.
  • Communicate with incoming staff and management by logging pertinent information in the pass on log.
  • Keep maintenance informed of all maintenance needs.
  • Pass on guest lost and found inquiries to management or Guest Room Supervisor.
  • Must wear proper uniform and name tag at all times in accordance with the Standards of Appearance.
  • Performs ALL other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
