The Lebermuth Company is currently looking for a Fragrance Marketing Manager to join our team. The Fragrance Marketing Manager is the core liaison between Lebermuth fragrance business development, evaluation, creative lab, sales, and marketing to help create fragrance solutions for our business-to-business clients. The optimal candidate will have fragrance industry experience and be responsible for our fragrance marketing strategy & execution, value proposition and drive growth opportunities. You will be the go-to person to provide actionable consumer and category insights, trends, and innovated presentations to drive new & existing business.

This is a critical role that will have direct impact on Lebermuth’s growth into a leading fragrance house. This position can be remote but will require frequent onsite visits to headquarters in South Bend, IN.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Define and develop fragrance marketing strategy and manage execution
  • Research and analyze market & consumer trends for our category segments: air care/home fragrance, personal care, baby care, household cleaning and aromatherapy to develop trend insight presentations that help drive fragrance innovation
  • Develop and present impactful trend presentations for internal training, client presentations and webinars
  • Participate in olfactive analysis of new products to identify interesting notes for proactive fragrance development, candidates for benchmark testing, and innovation
  • Drive white space/gap analysis, competitive analysis, and market intelligence to identify actionable insights for Lebermuth and customers
  • Lead category planning, analysis, tracking and business optimization
  • Develop and execute on-going content pipeline of proactive presentations, campaigns, blogs, and advertising
  • Write fragrance descriptions and creative stories
  • Monitor competition
  • Tradeshow planning & execution as needed
  • Ability to travel 20% or more
  • Other duties, as assigned
. Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in perfumery/fragrance industry
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Excellent business acumen, copywriting skills, presentation skills, and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical, data-driven approach with proven analysis experience
  • Passion for fragrance with a fined tuned olfactory sense, able to understand layers of a fragrance and creatively interpret your findings in the development process
  • Interest in being part of a growth team on a mission to take a 113-year-old family business to the next level as a leading fragrance house (dig in and wear multiple hats)
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to effectively communicate fragrance product development, concepts, and technical projects
  • Digital marketing experience
  • Strong knowledge of B2B marketing best practices
  • Proven ability to work independently, juggle multiple priorities and complete responsibilities in a fast paced, change-agile environment
  • Demonstrated project management, negotiations, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain effective work relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Work Environment:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to perfumes and airborne particles
  • Noise level is usually moderate
  • Work schedule is generally 8-5pm, but may vary (to include evenings and/or weekends) due to travel requirements and business needs
