Job Specific:

  • Safely operates a Hilo
  • Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording location of inventory.
  • Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.
  • Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies.
  • Documents materials and supplies disposition by recording units delivered and location of units.
  • Receives credit-return material and supplies from production by verifying materials and supplies code and lot number and quantity; placing materials in stock.
  • Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.
  • Documents product shipment by recording units shipped.
  • Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections; making operator repairs.
  • Help contribute to team efforts by helping where needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED required
  • At least 6 months recent Hilo experience
  • At least one year of inventory management experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Satisfactory safety record in past employment.

Working conditions

  • Job holder primarily works in the warehouse area of the production plant in addition to production floor areas and could be exposed to various temperatures or levels of noise.

Physical requirements

  • Must be able to see, hear, and speak.
  • Must be able to understand, speak, read, and write English.
  • Must be able to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time.
  • Must have extensive PC skills and be able to operate various office equipment.
  • Must be able to lift, push, or pull, up to 50 pounds repetitively.

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Night shift

Job Duties:

  • Load and unload trucks
  • Move and stack materials
  • Keep production lines supplied with empty containers and packaging materials as needed
  • Rotate floor stock
  • General housekeeping duties in the warehouse or production area and duties as assigned
  • Follow current good warehousing practice
  • Use common warehouse management software
  • Receive/process shipments
  • Perform proper forklift inspections and follow forklift operating guidelines and procedures
