A Day in the Life at Dart:

No matter the stage in your career, being a part of Dart Container means being a part of a team. As a valued member of that team, your day-to-day role will be:

  • Perform safety check on forklift or squeeze lift and fills out and signs safety check list.
  • Production:
    • Use a forklift to pick up and move supply materials into the production staging area.
    • Some departments stack and/or wrap finished product. Using a forklift move finished product from production staging area to the warehouse or onto shuttle trailers.
    • During change-overs remove supply materials and finished product. Supply lines with appropriate materials for the next production run.
    • Stock line supplies on racks such as bagger film, shrink wrap and box tape.
  • Warehouse:
    • Safely and accurately fill external customer orders and load tractor trailers for delivery.
    • Report documented start/stop times for customer orders.
    • Retrieve requested type and number of cases of product.
    • Sweep/clean each trailer prior to loading product.
    • Connect dock plates for trailers backed into the warehouse dock.
    • Control operation of the lights at each entry point used to signal the drivers when it is safe to pull away from the dock.
  • Change forklift batteries as needed each shift.
  • Perform other duties within the employee’s training and skills as directed by Supervision or Department Manager.

  • Demonstrate minimum proficiency with the English language in order to ensure effective new hire training and on-going communications about safety and quality issues.
  • Three (3) months of fork/squeeze truck or related experience.
  • Three (3) months of manufacturing/distribution experience required.
  • Math skills to include simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Ability to work weekend as needed.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.


Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • SAP experience
