Responsibilities:

• Food and Nutrition Service Workers ensure that all patients are fed according to their dietary needs and restrictions.
• Responsible for preparation of cold foods for the tray line.
• Assists with washing, peeling, shredding, slicing, and mixing various food items.
• Works with other patient services staff/departments as a team to meet the needs of the patients served.
• Operates dishwashers or assists with washing/sterilizing dishes, glassware, silverware, utensils, pots, pans, etc.
• Cleans kitchen work areas as well as collect and dispose of garbage.
• Assists patients with the meal ordering process and deliver food trays to patient rooms.
• Additional tasks as related to patient food services.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year hospital food service experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write and communicate verbally.
• Works well with public and customer relations.
• Organized work performance.
