Flooring Estimator

Job description

The ideal candidate will be an analytical, self-motivated, and detail-driven person. This role is about accuracy. We will provide training as needed, but the candidate should feel comfortable understanding plans and performing take-offs.

Responsibilities

· Perform material quantity estimates or “take-offs” for flooring products (resilient flooring and porcelain tile)

· Perform quantity calculations and determine spread rates for setting materials and accessories needed to complete an installation

· Determine and verify scopes of work from bid documents

· Interface with clients (general contractors or end-users) regarding the scope of work questions & changes to projects when required

· Perform site field measurements when needed

· Attend project job site walks & scope of work meetings when required & applicable

Qualifications

· Positive attitude and desire to work in a team environment

· Attention to detail and follow-through

· Read and comprehend blueprints, construction drawings, and diagrams

· Construction product estimating experience (commercial floor covering, a plus)

· Understanding all aspects of the flooring materials and installation process, with emphasis on hard surface tile and stone is a plus

· Willingness to learn our operating systems

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
