ResponsibilitiesREHAU Incorporated, a leading international polymer manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst / Cost Accountant for the Building Solutions Division reporting to Director of Financial Analysis & Planning based in Leesburg. Position to be based at one of the following three locations, at our Americas regional headquarters in Leesburg, VA; at our manufacturing plant in Cullman, AL, or at our main divisional sales office in Minneapolis, MN.
Specific job responsibilities for the position include:
  • Act as business partner to Divisional management in the Regional headquarters
    • Provide sales and marketing support to Building Solutions Division in Region Americas
    • Provide business decision support to the division management
    • Coordinate with financial counterparts in countries with Region Americas and the Corporate Division in Germany
    • Prepare division related requests for capital investment, including building business cases and discounted cash flow analyses.
  • Financial analysis on all aspects of the Divisional business performance:
    • Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts
    • Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for result improvements
    • Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting
    • Prepare monthly forecast for the division
    • Prepare management reports on KPI’s
  • Maintain standard costing systems, including:
    • Raw material prices in various systems from purchasing to material management in SAP
    • Review changes in raw material prices per the economic material indexes to assist with pricing decisions
    • Update standard cost for raw material price changes on a monthly basis and notify management of all changes
    • Calculate overhead absorption rates
    • Coordination with Operations on monthly analysis of actual plant performance against standard cost
  • Manage and maintain capital investment controls in United States and Canada across all REHAU Industries divisions
  • Participate in projects, as needed
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • Three or more years of financial analysis and/or cost accounting experience preferred
  • Experience working in an international manufacturing company preferred
  • Experience working with engineers and manufacturing personnel on development and analysis of cost standards preferred
  • Good understanding of US GAAP or IFRS accounting principles preferred
  • Experience with ERP systems required (SAP preferred); system implementation experience a plus
  • Must have strong Excel and database skills (including complex formulas and pivot tables)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to switch priorities and tasks as business needs arise
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, work independently and meet deadlines.
