About the Role:

As Finance Operations Manager, you will report directly to our COO in a new critical role designed to give the right leader an opportunity to build scalable financial infrastructure for the fastest growing Web3 talent marketplace today. This role will focus on elevating the existing financial business process and the systems that support both sides of the marketplace, talent and clients. You will be core to how financial operations for the network will scale during exponential growth and be a catalyst for change where needed across different functions.

A successful candidate in this role will need an owner’s mindset, eager to take our existing processes at any level, and be accountable to run, re-build or enhance them for scale. They will be hands-on in problem solving and ambitious in the pursuit of new challenges. They will thrive in handling multiple work streams and always be looking for ways to help the company improve and succeed.

Areas of Focus:

This is not a typical Accounting or Accounts Receivable leader role. While we are looking for someone with an Accounting background, this person also needs to be comfortable in a high growth environment focused on building, monitoring and enhancing the needed processes and systems that ensure financial health of the network. Their focus will be owning operational improvement and deliverables across three main areas;

  • Scaling Collections - building scalable processes and systems that enable a reduction of Days Sales Outstanding while we increase client billings month over month. [replaced scales]

  • Improving Tracking & Reporting - bring standardization to how the end-to-end billable process is monitored and drives timely actions

  • Optimize Accounting Support - create better process for both client and talent questions to be prioritized, routed and resolved for a high quality experience

Responsibilities

  • Ruthlessly prioritize projects and activities that will have the greatest impact on the organization. Use data to drive decision making.

  • Provide improvements to existing accounts receivable and talent payment process that solves current pain points and creates future exponential scale

  • Recommend system improvements including enhancing current platform or new accounting platform integrations that address current and future needs

  • Oversee process and SLAs for current accounting service provider who provides ledger reconciliation, bookkeeping, collections and accounting support

  • Enhance and own financial reporting and metrics that drive acceptable invoice aging and network financial health that may trigger new process improvements

  • Understand the end-to-end billable services process for the ideal experience from both the client and talent side of the marketplace

  • Ensure talent payment response process is optimized for effective routing and prioritization from inbound ticket system to response team

  • Develop own goals and roadmap that address current and future growth objectives for Finance Operations

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in accounting organizations

  • Experience in owning/building invoicing and collections process

  • Experience using financial systems that support AP/AR/GL

  • Analytical mindset with advanced Excel skills

  • Experience in process improvement & project management experience is a plus

  • Clear and concise communicator both written and spoken

  • Extremely organized - handling multiple projects at once

  • Process-oriented self starter who can identify and fill gaps before others

  • Thrive in a flexible, remote only environment
