Field Superintendent

Job Summary

Immediate opening for Field Measure Superintendent for commercial railing installation projects in the Atlanta,GA, Virginia and DC Metro Area.

The Field Superintendent assists the Project Manager in their assigned region and is responsible for general oversight of smaller commercial railing projects.

Responsibilities and Duties

Duties include:

• Travel to various job sites and collect technical data, including measurements, photos, and general site information
• Review work contracts for accuracy and anticipate issues with design and or pricing
• Visit active work-sites, inspect and monitor work in progress to ensure accuracy and timely completion
• Monitor safety adherence on active work sites and report or correct unsafe behaviors/conditions
• Attend job site meetings and work with General Contractor to coordinate scheduling of installation
• Train and monitor sub-contractor work
• Receive on-site materials and manage equipment needs to conform with budget restrictions
• Complete all necessary paperwork with precision and accuracy
• Inspect completed jobs for quality and customer satisfaction

Qualifications and skills

The qualified candidate will have:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 6 months to 1 year of experience in a commercial construction environment
• Ability to use a tape measure and record measurements with a high degree of accuracy. Must be able to work in all weather conditions and heights.
• Ability to read and comprehend construction blueprints
• Good computer skills
• Valid drivers’ license and reliable transportation
