Field Assembler Technician

This job consists of system-level electrical and mechanical assembly on single-bay racks and consoles as well as assembly and integration of ground and flight simulators. May have to disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and sub-assemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions. Travel to international and domestic locations will be required up to 80% of the time.

Basic Qualifications:

• Must have strong ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, drawings and procedures.
• Must be able to build complex assemblies using drawings or detailed work instructions.
• Successful candidate must have strong defect recognition skills and the ability to interact with peers and support team to improve build processes.
• Proficiency in cable routing per interconnect diagrams and drawings is required.

Desired Skills:

• Prior experience building system-level assemblies, such as automated test stations or simulators.
• Experience working with Operations Excellence Teams (OETs) to identify process improvements.
• Experience working on manufacturing flow lines with multiple team members.
• Experience traveling and interacting with both internal and external customers.
• Familiar with F-35 and flight simulators.
