Farm Hand – Operator

Scherping Farms is a progressive farm and dairy with 1,500+ acres and 800 cows. We are family-owned and operated located in in Little Falls, MN about 38 miles north of St. Cloud. We are passionate about agriculture, our crops and dedicated to the care of our animals and value the relationships we have with our employees.
We’re hiring a full-time, year-round Farm Hand - Operator for our operation. You will be operating farm equipment, mixing feed and performing light maintenance on our equipment. You will also be assisting the owners with general farm work and grounds maintenance.

Strong operating and mechanical experience in either farming, industrial equipment, construction, and/or heavy equipment.
Flexibility to assist in multiple areas of the farm and ability to work longer hours during peak season.

What you would be doing in this role:
Cautiously operate farm equipment such as tractors and skid loaders.
Perform light maintenance repairs of farm and dairy equipment.
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment (Greasing, oil changes, etc.).
Maintain organization in the shop and in equipment.
Hauling silage.
Assisting with livestock/dairy herd as necessary.
Assisting in all areas of the operation depending on the need for the season.
