Work in an exciting, fast-paced, cross-site, collaborative agile team environment which is delivering simulation technology used for training in the Naval Nuclear Power Program

Specific Duties:

The primary role for this position will be in the capacity as scrum master. In this role, the scrum master will frequently interface with both the product owner in Reactor Servicing and the development team within your own unit. Duties of scrum master include:

  • Guiding the team and organization on how to use project management best practices and values to satisfy customers.
  • Guiding the team on how to get the most of out self-organization.
  • Removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impediment.
  • Building a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on healing and problem-solving.
  • Facilitating getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work.
  • Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution.
  • Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information.
  • Supporting and educating the Product Owner, especially on grooming and maintaining the product backlog.
  • Providing all support to the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible, and leading by example.

In addition to the role of project manager, the ideal candidate will work to learn or have experience with software modeling, simulator sound modeling/ use, use prior NNPP experience to help review and evaluate simulator response for fidelity.




Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of nine years relevant experience; or
  • Master’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of seven years relevant experience
