Job Description

BRGR STOP FT. LAUDERDALE IS LOOKING FOR A KITCHEN MANAGER !WE ARE A CRAFT BEER BURGER BAR/GASTROPUB. WE PUT A FUN TWIST ON CLASSIC AMERICAN FOOD. This is not a corporate type of kitchen manager position where you stand around and supervise.This position is a working kitchen manager position where you will be the lead person on the line at all times, more like a chef/manager. There is specific set of prep work that the KM is responsible for. There are a couple days a week where you will work the line by yourself. THIS WILL BE YOUR KITCHEN answering only to the GM AND THE OWNERS. We have a very creative fun menu . We are looking for someone very experienced with great leadership skills who can take full control over the kitchen and staff. Someone capable of hiring and training new employees, someone who cares about our place like it is their own.

Responsibilities

  • Manage kitchen staff and coordinate food orders
  • Food prep and cooking
  • Check food portion sizes
  • Schedule kitchen staff shifts
  • Price menu items in collaboration with the Owner
  • Order food supplies and kitchen equipment, as needed
  • Train kitchen staff on prep work and food plating techniques
  • Store food products in compliance with safety practices (e.g. in refrigerators)
  • Keep weekly and monthly cost reports
  • Maintain sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen area
  • HOLD BOH STAFF MEETINGS

Skills

  • Proven work experience as a Kitchen Manager, Restaurant Manager or Head Chef
  • Hands-on experience with ordering ingredients
  • Knowledge of a wide range of recipes
  • Familiarity with kitchen sanitation and safety regulations
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Conflict management abilities
  • Ability to manage a team in a fast-paced work environment
  • Flexibility to work during evenings and weekends
  • Certification from a culinary school or degree in Restaurant Management is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $52,000.00 - $62,400.00 per year
