Posting TextThe SD Board of Regents is seeking an Executive Administrative Assistant to the Executive Director and Board of Regents to join the team. We’re seeking an individual who is highly detail oriented, an effective communicator, and an excellent proactive planner. This position provides high level administrative support for the Executive Director and oversees the planning, scheduling, agenda development and communication required to plan Board of Regents meetings and other executive level meetings across the state’s public higher education system.

Position Responsibilities
  • Administrative support for the Executive Director, Chief of Staff and Board of Regents.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the Executive Director, schedule and coordinate meetings and engagements.
  • Oversee the planning, scheduling, agenda development, posting requirements and all communication related to Board of Regents meetings.
  • Ensure that all meeting materials provided to the Board meet the established standards.
  • Draft correspondence for the Executive Director, Board, and Chief of Staff as appropriate.
  • Assist with special projects as needed, including assistance with presidential search processes and planning.
  • Oversee tracking of legislation throughout legislative session to ensure senior staff and the Executive Director are kept up to date on legislative schedules.



The preferred candidate will have:
  • 3+ years of progressive administrative assistant experience preferred.
  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred,
  • Other combinations of experience and education may be substituted.
  • The ability to communicate effectively across multiple constituencies.
