EVS Tech II - RFT - Environmental Services

Performs a variety of duties - removal of trash and soiled linens, set-ups, moving of furniture, floor care and other cleaning in accordance and standard schedules established by the Environmental Services department.

• Must be able to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to communicate frequently with nursing staff concerning patient rooms and with employees in support areas concerning cleaning needs.
• Ability to perform standardized cleaning procedures and successfully complete assignments after orientation and 6 weeks on-the-job training. Experienced preferred in operation of extractors, buffers/burnishers.
• Physical demands: Heavy physical effort (lift/carry up to 50 lbs). Prolonged, extensive, or considerable standing/walking. Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing, etc.
