Job Description

We are looking for an experienced cook to join our team at Green Mountain. The ideal candidate will be able to follow recipes and have experience using various cooking techniques to be able to deliver delicious meals to our residents and be able to prepare alternatives for each meal as well following the established menu. Ability to provide necessary documentation of daily meal temperatures following state and federal guidelines is a must, as is the ability to maintain a clean and sanitary workstation throughout the course of your workday. Experience using various cutting tools, bakeware and cookware required. Very good communication skills required, and ability to communicate with staff from other departments in a professional manner that represents our department well, as well as interacting with residents and family members in a courteous and professional manner. Teamwork is highly sought in this candidate, as well as a strong leader as this individual will be in charge of the kitchen in the evening once the Director of Food Services leaves for the day. Long Term Care experience preferred but not necessary- we will train the right individual. Posted salary is negotiable.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
All employees are required to be tested daily when working using a 15 minute Antigen test and weekly are tested using both the 15 minute test and a test that is sent away for laboratory analysis. Masks are required and temps taken daily when working.

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Cooking: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • ServSafe Certification (Preferred)
