Role: ETL Developer
Team: Outsourced Business Services
Travel: 10-15%, US
Location: US Remote

The ETL Developer is responsible for the design, development and maintenance of various ETL processes. This includes the design and development of processes for various types of data, potentially large datasets and disparate data sources that require transformation and cleansing to become a usable data set. The developer should have a strong working knowledge of SQL, SSIS, Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Snowflake tool sets and a depth of experience in using their many features. C# experience is a plus.

Our work environment is fast-paced and team driven. This position consults often with other BI solution team members while developing a data transformation solution. As a member of the team, this position works with various employees on multiple projects. While the position involves team interaction, tasks are most often completed independently, and a successful team member will manage their time, work, and proactively ask for help.

YOUR IMPACT:

  • Work closely with user groups and management teams to determine BI data requirements
  • Work with the Technology Services team to design the ADF and Snowflake processes for data transformation
  • Maintain existing ETL processes
  • Development of new ETL packages
  • Troubleshoot automated processes
  • Support end-users and business analyst when required including on-call rotation

RECOMMENDED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; a degree in computer science preferred
  • 4 experience developing a wide range of ETL processes; 4 years’ total experience working with Snowflake and other ETL software.
  • 2 years’ total experience working with C# Language a plus
  • Excellent knowledge of SQL (Snowflake and MS SQL Server)
  • Understanding of data warehouse concepts
  • Experience with various ETL tools (SSIS, ADF) and coding
  • Strong communication skills with end-users, co-workers, management
  • Top-notch problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and effectively manage time
  • Knowledge of any of the following software, languages or applications is a plus: C#, Python, R, Javascript
