Support Specialist I Job Description

Fort Settlement Services, LLC is a national title insurance agency supporting our lender clients with residential refinance and purchase transactions in various states throughout the country. The Support Specialist I (SS I) is responsible for various functions including but not limited to; ordering payoffs, scheduling notary appointments, filing, scanning documents, opening title orders, packaging loan documents, and recording documents. The (SS I) will work in a “paperless” office and thrive in an environment where flexibility is part of the culture and the pace is fast.

Responsibilities and Duties

The primary functions of this position are packaging loan documents, ordering payoff statements, supporting the curative, title, closing and accounting teams in a variety of data and clerical tasks, and the timely recording of real estate title documents for residential real estate transactions. The (SS I) will be expected to timely and accurately execute the following tasks:

· Review and package signed loan documents for delivery to lender.

· Monitor electronic queues for task assignments.

· Order mortgage payoff statements

· Proofread all documents submitted for recording for accuracy, completeness, compliance with technical and legal requirements and accept or reject documents accordingly.

· Finalize recordings through electronic recording software and with hand carry vendor.

· File original documents until recorded then retrieve and forward to lender.

· Perform other duties as may be required or requested by the manager.

· Ability to work overtime as required.

Qualifications and Skills

· High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

· 2 years of office experience, preferably in an Escrow, Title or Law office.

· Must have a demonstrated attention to detail.

· Current working experience with Microsoft Office including Word and basic Excel is required.

· Strong quality orientation with attention to detail and accuracy.

· Accountability, strong work ethic.

· Integrity, ability to maintain and work with confidential information

· Ability to manage multiple priorities and effectively prioritize and execute in a fast-paced environment.

· High level of demonstrated customer service, and time management skills.

· Exposure to Title Insurance on a National Basis, preferred but not required.
