Job Description
PURPOSE:
The Preventative Maintenance technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes. Qualified candidate will have experience with various types of production machinery containing pumps, motors, solenoids, relays, and temperature controllers. Candidate will also possess strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills with the ability to interpret schematics and equipment wiring diagrams.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Installs, maintains, and repairs a wide variety electronic production equipment. Equipment may consist of pumps, blowers, motors, relays, solenoid valves, and temperature controllers.
  • Oversees the installation and movement of a variety of light, medium and heavy equipment.
  • Performs preventive maintenance and repair including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, basic plumbing, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Works from blueprints, equipment drawings and schematics, manufacturers' specifications and literature. Selects materials and equipment for proper completion.
  • Ensures that the performance of these activities are well documented on work orders.
  • May be required to clean and service equipment that may contain hazardous substances and to participate in the sorting and accumulation of hazardous waste materials in accordance with federal, state and local regulations.
  • Works with Process Engineering team to ensure proper preventative maintenance plans are in place and adequate for newly installed equipment.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
QUALIFICATIONS:
Requires a High School diploma or its equivalent. Trade school diploma preferred, and at least three (3) years of industrial maintenance experience. Ability to operate hand and power tools. Good electrical, mechanical, plumbing and analytical skills. Experience with Auto and Manual bonding equipment for microelectronics as well as, and / or experience with Thermotron temperature and altitude chambers is preferred. Ability to obtain a secret clearance. Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and written). Ability to work independently and with other members of the team. Experience with preventative maintenance and repair of manufacturing and processing equipment. Ability to lift 40 pounds repeatedly.



Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
