Job Description
To help stop the spread of infections by keeping assigned areas clean, sanitary by scouring, scrubbing, mopping, polishing, using germicidal disinfectants and damp dusting. Performs other duties as listed in essential duties and responsibilities. Keeps work station neat and clean. Learns to use floor equipment as required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Tenth grade education or equivalent. High school diploma/GED preferred.
Previous healthcare and/or institutional housekeeping experience preferred. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Climb ladders, lifting, reading, walking, carrying, pushing, pulling, talking, seeing, and hearing. Requires judgment and alertness. Be aware of hazardous materials in improper containers. The ability to organize time, prioritize, and concentrate. WORKING CONDITIONS: May be exposed to potential hazards such as body fluids and other possible infectious material. There may be some exposure to potentially hazardous chemical agents that require care in handling.
