Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Associate (Contractor)

The Physical Security and Safety (PinPatrol) team is a part of Global Workplace Services and strives to provide the most safe and secure workplace for Pinterest employees so they can bring the inspiration to create a life they love. As a member of the physical security and safety team, you will work under the direct supervision of the health and safety manager. You must be fully vaccinated and boosted to be considered for this role.

What you'll do:

• Support the vision and strategy of our health and safety programs worldwide. You will collaborate cross-region, cross-team and cross functionally to execute on these strategic plans
• Assist with data entry of metrics and processes in the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) management system to track and drive progress with compliance and best practices
• Assist in reviewing, updating various EHS programs, policies, and training materials in accordance with company policy, local, state, and local guidelines
• Participate in EHS risk assessments and perform periodic facility audits to identify potential EHS hazards/opportunities
• Assist teams in incident investigations to determine root causes and the implementation of corrective actions
• Perform routine data / trend analysis, research, and presentations related to EHS performance
• Assist with compliance of COVID-19 workplace protection measures & response
• Develop Safety Risk Assessments (SRAs) to determine site-specific safety requirements such as engineering controls etc.
• Attend and assist with safety committee meetings
• Participate in special projects such as emergency response procedures, cost reduction, and various other administrative duties as assigned

What we're looking for:

• Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA off a 4.0 scale without rounding
• Graduated or attending a full time matriculated and nationally accredited baccalaureate or graduate program. Preferred EHS related degree
• Entry level experience in EHS is a plus
• Willingness to travel as needed (domestic and international travel)
