About the Role

In this role you will work with the data architecture, strategy and execution roadmap in close collaboration with business and IT service owners, solutions architects, and the delivery teams. Additionally, you will build end to end data architecture standards and guidelines to ensure consistency across different various program and project implementations. The Data Architect will development teams in the data design of sophisticated solutions and ensures that teams are in alignment with the data architecture principles, strategies, and target states. This role will be located in Pleasanton, CA.

  • Lead Enterprise Data Architecture and related technical strategies in the areas of data management, BI analytics, advanced analytics, master data management, data quality, transformations, enrichment and data integration
  • Apply business strategy and enterprise architecture principles while driving data strategy, balancing short term and long term needs to ensure scalable, reliable and extendable data architecture that can evolve with changing needs
  • Lead multiple highly visible strategic and transformative initiatives around data that impact and influence business
  • Create, maintain, and govern architectural views, guidelines and blueprints depicting the data landscape in its current, transitional, and future state
  • Uses extensive technical expertise to build case for change in technology architecture strategy
  • Work with business users to translate data requirements into solutions and collaborate with technical teams for implementation
  • Offer insight, guidance, and direction on the usage of emerging trends and technical capabilities.
  • Evaluate and recommend long-term direction on strategic advancements within the technical portfolio.
  • Rapidly prototype working models and solutions to acquire business alignment on approach
  • Document and maintain data flows for critical subject areas and identify opportunities for improvements
  • Apply best practices using innovative ideas to increase awareness, efficiency and value delivery of enterprise architecture.

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or Engineering or related
  • Minimum 15+ years of experience working with Data Architectures of enterprise data assets including Master Data Management (MDM), Data Quality, Data Analytics/BI, Data Enrichment, Data Integration/ETL, Security and Governance
  • Proven technical understanding and implementation experience in Enterprise Data Warehouse technologies including Multi-Dimensional Data Modeling
  • Demonstrable experience working with structured and unstructured data structures coming in from variety of ERP, CRM and other data sources
  • A solid understanding of data profiling and data cleansing techniques
  • Proven track record of driving decisions collaboratively, resolving gaps and ensuring follow through
  • Must be able to visualize, analyze, communicate and solve complex problems, and make disciplined decisions based on available information
  • Takes ownership of problems and proactively resolves technical problems, ensuring that technical solutions continue to meet business requirements and aligns with the vision, mission, objectives, strategy of the team
  • Familiar with architectural frameworks/methodologies
