Employment-Housing Specialist

Job Description
The Employment/Housing Specialist provides services to individuals with a diagnosis of mental chronic illness experiencing homelessness, or who are at risk of becoming homeless, and who may be unemployed, underemployed, or at risk of becoming unemployed. The Employment/Housing Specialist provides skills training and supports that lead to obtaining and maintaining affordable housing and employment, which promote housing stability, independent living, recovery, and wellness. The Employment/Housing Specialist will work with individuals to develop a person-centered housing plan and a Person-Centered Recovery Plan, and provide skills training and supports that promote independent living, housing stability, affordability, and increased tenure in the community. Flexible work schedule and training is provided.
Salary: $19.46 – $21.21/hr

Credentials
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, or a related human services field. Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License.

Preferred Qualifications: Good communication and problem-solving skills, and an aptitude to work with people that have chronic mental illness.
