Job Summary:
The Electrophysiology Specialist (EPS) applies scientific principles related to clinical electrophysiology to provide technical support and patient care services. The EPS assists the physician with all procedures in the Electrophysiology Lab, including implanted devices and arrhythmia ablations; integrates knowledge of cardiovascular physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, electrical technique and interventions being performed to monitor the patient for potential/actual physiological and behavioral changes intraprocedure and post procedure and intervenes appropriately. Acquires and demonstrates the technical knowledge and clinical skills necessary to operate equipment and troubleshoot equipment malfunction. Serves the needs of patients by overseeing the development, integration and evaluation of the effectiveness of patient protocols and the effect on patient outcomes. Ensures compliance with established regulatory requirements.

Qualifications
Licensure/Certification
- Current licensure as a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (CVIS) through the Washington State Department of Health AND current Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist certification (RCIS) as issued by the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI);
- Current licensure as a Radiologic Technologist through the Washington State Department of Health AND current Radiography certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (ACLS) issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
